How many miles?

Looks like an sr5? Sorry to have to dig these details out of ya but I need to make an educated guess. How's the exterior? Scratches? Chips? How's the interior? Ever been smoked in?

Here is your problem. An enthusiast is not likely to buy already modded truck at higher than new car price especially if it's 5 years old. He will more likely to want to buy new and mod it himself.

A non-entusiast is not likely to pay that much money for a 5 year old truck. For him, it's a sign that the truck has been abused.

It would be better if you returned your truck to stock and sell the after-market parts separately, unless, of course, you happen to find someone who was gonna do the exact same stuff but hesitant because of the expense. Who knows? Stranger things have happened before.

Sorry guys. 27000 miles. Never smoke in it. No scratches or dings. It's in mint condition. It is 4WD
Limited.
35k to 37k I'd say. Your 37k is at the top end for private sale according to kbb with it stock not accounting for then lift. Unless you know someone private sale that wants it lifted, you're probably better returning it to stock and selling it.

That seems expensive. How much is a used lift kit worth.

I paid less for a brand new 2012 CM 4x4 SR5 TRD. $28,050 (there is more to the story trade in)

I still paid less for said truck, wheels, tires, and cheapo ebay level kit. $2K

You are staring down the face of a 2014 redesign, and a truck that is five years old. It's my favorite color and it is a limited. My guess is $29K. Your mods eliminate 80%+ of buyers for different reasons.

List it for full price, tax returns are coming. You never know...

I'd agree with the others to demod if possible and sell the parts individually. If selling it as is, i'd still think that's a bit high for a 2008, but you may eventually find a buyer for it. That being said, it is a badass truck man

Thanks,
J

no way in hell I'd drop $37k on a 2008 model truck regardless of what you've spent on it.

I'd buy new and make changes myself.

Of course, yours would be a steal at that price compared to this...

For reference since its not exactly the same:
I just sold my '08 dbl cab limited, no lift or aftermarket parts. Totally stock. 90K miles. Good shape overall, no damage, clean carfax, black. At auction in Northeast Got $18.5 for it.
Not thrilled with it but since '13's have 0% financing I couldn't pass up the chance to replace it. Got a '13 dbl cab R/W for $33.5k 0%.
To give you idea of the market.
I agree with the de-mod and sell parts. You will probably get close to the same with or without the mods selling it to average buyer. At least you can recoup some of the money selling the parts if you sell the truck stock.
New to this forum, but not new to buying and selling so this is my two cents worth:

The more you mod any vehicle the less it is worth. Return it to stock and sell off the mods 1 at a time. Your trucks value is no where near what some of these guys think it is. Toyota is currently offering a 2,750 rebate on a crewmax and 2,500 on a DC 2013's. Our local dealer is adding $1,585 to that rebate and he is the only game in town. So even before you start to haggle you can get $4,335 off MSRP.

Look on craigslist and see what is being sold and price it right. Forget NADA or Kelly book values as they are totally unrealistic. When was the last time either NADA or Kelly purchased a used truck? I think you would be lucky to get $27K for the truck when you can buy a new 2013 4x4 with the 5.7 and a couple of options for just over $30,000.

I dunno...

I have a 2010 cm rw with a few other options, leveled, 2 sets of wheels/tires, tonneau cover, 20k miles...

I could get 30-32... Tops I would imagine.

In general, suspension mods, lifts, non of that add anything to resale value...
I think that's a little high. I just bought a 2010 Crew Max Rock Warrior with RES for 28,500. Plus mine is certified from a dealer so it comes with 12 month bumper to bumper warranty. 31,800 miles on it when I bought it.
