I wouldn't wire them to the DRL's just because I wouldnt want them always on & i'm sure it would reduce their life expectancy if they were always on.
I'd probably wire them to the head lights, so they turn on when you flick on your head lights. Either that or just wire them to a switch in the truck and you can turn them on at your convenience, just make sure that you are using a power source that switches off with the engine, such as the cigarette lighter on the left side of the console.
