Hello guys. Just purchased a 17 trd pro and I'm getting a high pitch whistle each time I press the gas pedal. It does not whistle when my foot is pressed hard on the pedal, only when it's pressed lightly, basically when I am maintaining cruising speed. It even does the same thing when on cruise control but it is a more steady whistle.
The dealership didn't have any answers and basically said Toyota won't do anything about it.
Also, The sound is definitely not related to the ac, or windows. It's definitely something do do with acceleration. I can make it sing by constantly tapping the gas pedal when cruising. It is extremely annoying to me.
Please give me some suggestions, I've searched through the forum and there are so many different whistling sounds and most of them are related to air filter mods or something like that. My trd pro is all stock. Any thoughts?

My 2015 did not have a whistle for 25k miles. After I changed the air filter out with an OEM Toyota filter from the dealer, I now have a whistle. I inspected the air filter and noticed that the filter from factory had a white foam pad glued to the filter and the Toyota replacement does not. I think the whistle has to do with airflow and turbulence at the throttle body. Most people take the screen out at the throttle body and replace it with part 222710S010 - GASKET - 2015 TOYOTA TUNDRA - GENUINE TOYOTA OEM PARTS

For the $7 it cost to do this http://www.tundratalk.net/forums/tundra-problems-maintenance-repair-dealer-warranty-issues/108858-intake-whistle-fixed.html It's worth it to at least try it. I couldn't stand the whistling on my truck, did this now it is silent. I have the TRD filter on my truck. Not sure if that came standard on the pros or if the dealership added it.
This thread has a video and the link to the part as well.

Negative. I do still experience the whistle though and just kind of got used to it. Although it's extremely annoying if we're on a long trip and it's quiet.
I'm convinced that it could easily be fixed by swapping out the gasket that bsktball55 mentioned, I just haven't got around to doing it yet. The longer I wait, the less I think about it. Lol.
I'm having other issues with the truck right now. Navigation screen not functioning... probably needs to be replaced, also brakes screeching like crazy.
I Still love the truck but it's been a bit of an annoyance[emoji51]

Yea, I figured that it was intake noise. Its just quiet. I have driven a number of turbo charged vehicles and know the sound of a loud intake. Just figured I want to be certain before I pull the filter out.
For what its worth, mine does have the trd air filter in it. Maybe that makes the difference.

I've experienced a loud whistle when on the interstate. It's only around the passenger side window and if it's a windy day, especially a crosswind. Sounds like someone blowing on a coke bottle with the volume on 11. Initially thought it was antenna but did it with stock and antennax. The other day it was loud as hell and got the wife to pull the mirror in. It stopped, which tells me it's likely a vortex in the space between the a-pillar and mirror itself. I'm trying to think of something to stick in that space that will disrupt air flow and not look junky. Anybody else have this problem?
