Last year during inspection they found out one of my exhaust shields was falling off. Then the other day the long pan under the passenger side was dragging on the driveshaft. All 6 screws holes were rotted away .
The underside of my truck is still clean for a 9 year old truck in the NE.
Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, I've had all manner of buzz and rattle the past few years which was caused by loosening heat shields all over the exhaust system. The bolts and nuts rust away, as does the area in the shield itself which is near the bolt / nut. So far I've remedied much of it by using new bolts / nuts and larger washers to grab more of the unrusted area on the heat shields, but this merely delays the inevitable.
