I have a 2008 tundra with a grille that’s looking miserable. All the fake chrome is bubbling up. A guy has a 2012 grille for sale on Craigslist. I learned that the mounting brackets changed in 2010. Has anyone out there put a 2010-13 grille on their 2007-09 tundras? Do I get the 2010-13 brackets to mount on a 2007-09? Does it work? Any input is appreciated.
In the link I provided new painted grilles are around $217 + shipping.
It looks like they have them painted in some colors.
If they have your color, go for it and ditch the chrome altogether.
You can use your old top molding and maybe your emblem, unless it is trashed.
Contact Roman @tototaofcoolsprings and see what he can do for you.
I’m just trying to find either a used oem grille or recommendations of aftermarket ones. Too expensive to replace with the factory grille. I’m in Arizona
This is the information I remember from when I did the switch over on my 07
I went from an 07 sr5 grill with chrome bezel to a 2010-2013 fit aftermarket grille and all I needed to order was the 10-13 grille mounting brackets. Everything bolted up for the most part plus a little bit of persuasion.
