Having removed mine I don't think you will have any problems with it being drivable. I would however be concerned about getting a hefty ticket for operating on the roadway without a bumper, especially the front bumper.

I have to disagree. The bumper that you actually see, is not the true bumper. The real bumper is behind the chrome thing that we call a bumper. It can either be an aluminum or composite channel bolted to the frame horns.
As long as your lights and signals work you are leagal to drive the truck. Unfortunatly the PO might not agree because they are uninformed.
