Coach do you have any pic of how you mounted the LED strips in the rear?

I'll get the rears mounted tomorrow and post up a pic for ya. The 3 chip lights are impressively bright.

Just ordered the 5K 3chip for the front and rear and will post a pic after they're installed. thanks for the link Marky Mark and the coupon code in the other thread TowTundraTow.

Hey Coachbuilder1 do you still have coupon code? I'm about to order me a set tonight!!

the coupon code is "15off " I think it ended on 10/3 at midnight but not sure give it a shot.

Yep, I'll need some direction on the splice and rear mounting of these lights too.I fried some fuses over the week-end, attempting to splice into the front light-strip:p. Mashed down too hard on the 'splice-tab' and made contact with the metal inside:eek::D

I have the old light strips. They are plenty bright. Don't think I would want them any brighter. Too bad they are discontinuing the old ones.

installing lights Front/rear now and will put together a DIY with pics

Just finished the VLED install front and rear. all in all it took about 1 1/2hrs I bought 2 of the front foot well lighting kits (3 chip 5000k) The fronts were a breeze and plug right into the factory light bulb socket. the small one in the driver foot well area. After finding polarity (black w/white stripe is +) on the VLED's I was able to tap into the wire harness and extend to the rear seats. I just used 18 gauge speaker wire. its overkill but have a 1000ft spool. :) I ran the new wire down the RH side of the truck under the factory sill covers they pop up and off. Removed the under seat storage and then fed a stiff piece of wire from the edge of the carpet where the jack is and into the sill area. taped the wire I ran from the front and pulled it through. I soldered and heat shrinked every connection except the connection that plug into the rear lights so If I ever need to remove the under seat storage I can. ( male/female crimped connectors) If possible don't use the plastic splices on these wires. the wires are so small they either slice the wires or don't make a 100% connection soldering is best. The rear lights are mounted to the under seat storage bin using a small piece of aluminum I bent up and painted black, It's 3m taped to the storage bin. (Rear VLED's are aimed at 45 degree's) I also was able to tap into my LED door handle mod I did a month back but hadn't wired up yet. everything works great and will post pics of actual light output when its dark. until then here are the install pics. ** If anyone needs brackets fabbed up like I used let me know **
