I bought a 75w rms 4 channel amp and was wanting to see if anyone knew if the stock speakers would handle it till I can get them replaced? Or should I just hold off and wait for the new speakers?
A nice powerful amp should put out cleaner power and therefore put less stress on weak speakers at the same volume the old amp could muster. As long as the power isn't cranked all the way up it should be fine.
It's also possible the amp isn't really able to put out what it says it can. That seems to be especially true of newer amps.
