I have an alternator from my 14 Tundra Limited, 5.7 towing package 43k miles.
I was getting ready to take a trip in the West and wanted to make sure everything was ok. I took the truck to 2 places to check out the battery and electrical system. Both places said my regulator was bad. I had no problems so I decided to replace it. I purchased a brand new one from Toyota OUCH $600.
when I was done, I did more research and found out that our alternators are temperature compensating and gave false bad readings.
I took mine back to a store and had it bench tested. It checks fine see photo.
This is a good match for someone who wants to upgrade their power output for mod etc...
Sacrifice... $225 plus shipping
TIA Pete
