Then forget magnablow. Since you tow a lot and your wife isn't onboard with the modding I'd just hack the stock pipe off.

Local exhaust shop has this muffler with 3 or 3.5" stainless tips installed out the door for 330.00

It's a 22" version... will that help with drone? It's also a dual 3" in/ dual 3" out 5 x 11 case.

well new price... Magnaflow mentioned above 95.00 out the door... local guy to install with 2 3.5" stainless tips 140.00.... grand total 235.00 installed with tax

now if someone can tell me if the 22" version will drone less than the 18" version.

If not i'm just gonna take JC's advice and keep the stock muffler and do something with the tips.

My honest opinion..... You've gone this long with the stock exhaust so the "sound" must not bother you. Sounds like its just the sight of the stock pipe. Hack it off and see what you think. Cheap too.
