It changes the aerodynamics a bit but the effect shouldn't be all that noticeable. Where you see the difference is when you use the new clearance to install larger, heavier wheels and tires.

I leveled with 5100s and kept stock tires and I lost about 0.5MPG just from the level. Lost another 0.5MPG when I put larger/heaver tires on.

Already have the biggest tires I'll ever have with 285/65/18 Nitto Terra E rated. Adding some new wheels next week which are actually lighter than my stock wheels so I can deal with a .5mpg loss when I level it with shocks. Thanks guys!

I installed the Rancho quick lift to level the truck and lost 0.541785269MPG and lost another 0.57845589652254111MPG with 33's MT tires.
