Hello guys,

Came across a mesh grille insert today that was advertised as being for the 07-09 year trucks. I have a 2013 that I'd love to use it on because I can keep my chrome grille surround, so I guess my question is will an insert designed for the 07-09 models fit a 2013?

If not, recommend me an insert that I can keep my chrome surround and no cutting.

Any help is appreciated!

For a rookie to both tundra mods and TRD sparks, would you happen to know what that kit is called? Bonus points for a link, only mounting bracket I found was one for the TRD sway bar and a license plate bracket.

The kit Sparks sells gives you newer brackets bolts and screws for the 10-13. If you already have a 13 then that link will not help you. I have a 07 and bought that conversion kit. I don't know of them selling a 10-13 to 07-09 conversion kit.

What you need is to post up a want to buy or maybe in the pay it forward thread that you are looking for that. What sux is I left my old grill all the 07-09 brackets and bolts on my eyeland and would have gladly paid it forward and just charged you for shipping. Lotta guys with older trucks have bought the new conversion kit so they could get the color matched 10-13 grill. I am sure someone must have old one lying around to sell or give you at a price way cheaper than buying individual 07-09 brackets, bolts and plastic pop rivets for.

You will need the 2007-2009 parts that correspond to the kit Sparks sells below

2010 Grille Assembly Installation Kit for 2007-2009 Tundra's

For 2007 - 2009 trucks only. Kit includes:
Right Side Bracket: 53117-0C030, MSRP $44.93, Sale Price: $35.94
Left Side Bracket: 53118-0C030, MSRP $44.93, Sale Price: $35.94
Bolt we/Washer: 90119-A0156 (Qty 10), MSRP $0.60 ea, Sale Price: $0.48 ea
Retainer: 53191-0C010 (Qty 5), MSRP $1.06 ea, Sale Price: $0.85 ea.

I found the brackets on JC Whitney website:

2007-2009 Toyota Tundra Grille Bracket - Replacement, TO1207100, Direct fit, 531170C020 - JCWhitney

Get the right and left. Those are the big ticket items. Or you can call TRD Sparks and tell them you are trying to do the opposite (going from a 2010+ to the 2007-2009 grill). They may have all the older parts in stock. Basically the brackets are the big ticket items. The grill is held to the hood using the clips to hold in place and then the bolts screw into the hood. IIRC, the biggest difference is the mounting point of the brackets and the 2010+ uses hex bolts where the 2007-2009 used hex nuts. Buying the whole kit just saves you a small %.
