I went in for my 15K mile tire rotation and saw this on the showroom floor.
It is a 16 4X4 SR5 TSS edition CM with a cheap 3/1 leveling kit.

Made a thread on it here;
http://www.tundratalk.net/forums/tundra-general-discussion/545658-what-i-saw-my-dealership-today-seriously.html#post6830570

Anyway, they have Nitto Grappler M/T 305 55 R20s on it.

I'm considering this tire size when I get new tires after my stock BF KO 285 55 R20s wear out.
I asked about the clearance to the UCA and they said they never had a problem.
I can't even stick my finger in there.
Is this too close?
What say you?

interesting....I have these same rims and am trying to decide what tire to get with factory need replacing. Want something a little wider so they dont look so sunk in.

I've got the same issue.
My wheels look so sunk in with my fender flares and I'm not willing to run spacers.
I like the TSS wheels, but considering a new wheel with a 18+ or so offset.

Those 305 55 fill it nicely, but there is what, an 1/8 of an inch clearance..

I'm here at Toyota of McKinney getting a fuse and I was talking with the parts guy. He said they put 305/55/20 on the TSS wheels all the time. They just do a 3/2 level with them and trim skid plate and inner fender well

Same thing that my dealer said.
My 2WD has no skid plate.
Since lifting my front end, I'm seriously considering a TRD skid plate with the access door for oil changes.
Just not sure if it is worth $400 to me..

I really like these TSS wheels.
I was bummed to see I couldn't get them with an 18+ offset..
The only 5X150 they come in is 30+, which is odd being that the TSS is allegedly 50+.
They are made in 20" 18+, just not our bolt pattern.

There aren't many black wheels that I've found that I like..
Except these, I don't like standard 'spoke" looking wheels.

BUT, these are 18"..

The 20s like that in black have 25+ offset..:(

The only 20s I can find like this with an 18+ offset are black and grey and I think that grey is too light to match my MGM paint.

Nothing is easy......

Do you have pics? I am buying Fuel Contra 20x9 with a +20 offset. I’m leveling it with bilstein 6612s at 2.5 in the front and 5100s in the back with Toytec Shackles. I don’t have flares and do not want em. Can’t decide between 295/55/20 or 285/55/20. I only want the tires to stick out a bit. Definitely don’t want 12.5 wide. What do you guys think.

I have 285/55/20 I don’t think they stick out too far but I also have fender flares, fwiw. But I do like the size and look.
