Went to get my "Free" oil change and state inspection at dealer today. Said my brakes needed changing in front only next time in, gave me quote of $349!?
Will do them myself, 2010 with 47,___ miles, just use for towing stuff.

Oh boy. Another dealer story.

Have you pulled the front wheels off yourself and got your nose/face/eyes in there and inspected the front pads yourself?

We just had a very similar thread to this two days ago. Pretty much the same story. Conclusion of that thread was pretty much that the dealer was probably lying to the Tundra owner.

Knowledge is king. Please see if you can find a way to check those pads yourself or with someone you trust. I would not expect your truck to need pads at the mileage indicated. But that needs to be confirmed by a trusted honest person......if that can't be you.

Please report back.

Might try looking tomorrow. But will wait for my mechanic friend to look at it. Thanks for the heads up, heard dealerships are good for that.
