My brake lights won't turn off when I turn off my truck. I lock the doors, I pump the brakes, but to no avail. Has anyone had this?

Check the switch behind the brake pedal. Could be stuck or bad.

Is it under warranty?
Did you change the tail light bulbs? That can happen if the bulbs are backwards in the socket..
Bulbs haven't been changed recently. I have noticed if I pump the brakes a couple times it'll work.

I'm getting concerned because my cruise control is intermitten - sometimes it won't work/will stop. Leads me to think that the break line is goofy.

All of that sounds like a bad switch. It's easy to replace.

Agreed, brake light switch. This will also stop/cancel your cruise too......

This just happened to me as well (tundrsa 2015) on top of that gas pedal sometimes doesn't respond when speed up...
I'm guessing, electronic switches are not moisture resistant. Will check that first...
Did you pin point this on your end and you know for certain what causes it?
Cheers,
Miro
I did remove switch which is in contact with break pedal...
1. did take it a part very carefully and check for moisture or wear/tear - no issues
2. did inspect wires and rubber cover - no issues
3. adjusted distance of push pin on switch to respond bit later once break pedal pressed

Did all that with engine off - did not disconnect battery.

Break lights come on when foot pedal is pressed at least 1 cm

It works fine so in few days I'll see if remains OK

Adjustment of your brake light switch is critical to avoid any delay in warning the following driver. Your brake lights should come on if you apply even slight pressure to the pedal. In your place, I would download the 2015 Service Repair manual here (search) and research exactly how to adjust your brake light switch.
Naturally it's critical to signal breaking for others to see... thank you for your advice. I did adjusted it accordingly.

Hi there what was your final fix so I have the same issue 2013 Tundra 5.7 engine. and woke up this morning and looked outside and my brake lights and bed lights are on from last night ....never happened before!
I have the same problem. Changed out the switch still staying on. Removed the switch from the holder and tried the switch. It’s still staying on. Any suggestions???

I had the same problem after looking at everything I noticed the plastics brake stop that goes between the pedal and brake switch was missing feel out or just broke with age but without it the pedal wasn’t pressing in the brake switch to turn out the lights turned out to be a 5$ fix

For me, it was a brake light switch cushion. Simple fix, takes 2 minutes to do, and costs less than $10…
