I noticed a blue, gel like substance on my garage floor this afternoon. It was located about where my rear axle sits. I cant find any more gel on the undercarriage although I did drive around 10 miles before noticing the gel when I got home.

Any idea what this could be? I know what oil, water and hydraulic fluid looks like but this was blue and gel like in texture. It had an odor, not horribly strong but nothing i recognized.

The spot was about 1 inch wide and 3 inches long with maybe a tablespoon of gel substance.


Ideas? Im going to check under the frame again tonight

It sounds like the muffler bearing grease resivior is leaking. Its the black box under the bed on the driver's side just ahead of the axle.
