My truck is completely stock right now, including tires. I don't plan to do much to the truck. For off-road performance I'm sure the current shocks are better but my goals are different. We'll see if I end up installing the replacement Ranchos, assuming they show up in good condition.

what did you end up doing? I’ve been looking into getting Rancho Quicklift struts and adjusting them to a softer setting and pairing them with skyjacker black max shocks in the rear. Supposedly skyjackers are tuned for comfort not performance. Or Rancho 9000 shocks in the rear and setting on soft settings as well. According to Rancho a nice hwy ride is set to 6 up front and 4 rear iirc.

I've got the Rancho quick lift fronts and the 9000XL rears but haven't installed them yet. I'll report back in a few weeks once they are on.
