I want to get a cap to keep my dogs in the bed but still allow heat/ac to go into the bed when the window is down. I'm thinking one with a fold down front window and maybe a boot with some clear 3m to protect the paint but searching I haven't found anyone who has done this. It seems like it is the perfect set up for this having a full roll down rear window. I'm not concerned with the boot being water tight since I'd still be able to fold up the cap window and roll up the cab window. Has anyone accomplished this? Any suggestions on A.R.E, Leer ect? Definitely want sliding windows for the pups to stick their heads out of.

Try using pool noodles as a boot. Wood be mostly air tight and water tight. Install from inside the cab between truck and shell.

Good idea, I was thinking pipe insulation but pool noodles may be better since there is no slit down the middle.
