So had a road trip this week. 690 miles. First tank took me a whopping 219 miles..... That was 40 after light came on.. second tank was a little better, at 260... First tank avg was 9.7, second was 12.2. Obviously bad gas both times. Third fill up was back on par with 18.9. Wondering if I should change a filter or something now? Thoughts? And yes, it ran like poo, still kinda does. Before you ask, flat roads, moderate tail wind, avg speed was 80 mph.

Bad gas from two different places? Seems a little sketchy. I'f your close to needing to replace your fuel filter anyways, it wouldn't be a bad idea. But otherwise, it was just doing its job so it should be fine. IMO

Both were Kroger gas stations. Not knocking Kroger, no defamation, no ill feelings, hit shappens

Ah. Do you have flexfuel capabilities? I was real pre-cautious when I had my mustang, but since I've got my Tundra I haven't been. I figured if it can run flexfuel it can run shitty gas haha.

No flex fuel. This is my first gasoline truck in 20 yrs, so it's not as easy as the Cummins for fuel issues.

I don't think there is an external fuel filter....Just a screen on the fuel pump inlet....Deep in the tank.

i get a maximum 390 out of my full tank.. that's average of 15 mpg. fwy+city combined. 87 octane gas in CA
