So my brand new truck is already blistering and rusting on the door sills

. How the hell is this? Anyone else have this problem?

The rust spots you show are clearly caused from paint chipping and the elements getting at them; even the bubbling where is where the water and elements get under the paint once the chip is there. That first rust spot (lighter colored) in the second picture doesn't quite look like a chip caused it; kinda more like a scratch that caused the rusting even though you state it wasn't scratched downto the metal.

Is the clearcoat thin on the sills? I've got an 11 year old tundra and the paint chips regularly occur on the exterior like your vehicle shows due to the thin clearcoat, including the bubbling effect although they haven't rusted as much since I haven't had it covered it mud/salt/water like you vehicle seems to after looking at the interior.

If it was caused by a chip then there would be a ridge....there is not a single ridge or chip. The paint is rusting from underneath, I can see and feel what I am talking about. Regardless, the dealer is going to repair it because it is obviously their problem (not chips).

I love the truck but if I need to treat it like a $100,000 show truck instead of a $35,000 work truck, then I guess this truck isn't for me or 80% of the people in Alberta.

Since it's being handled anyway, did you even bother to ask why it was happening? Rust spots just don't appear out of nowhere unless it's exposed to air and you seem to indicate that the clearcoat is still intact covering the non-bubbling rust spots since you don't feel a "ridge".

If you're concerned about that, you should be periodically checking the underside of your truck bed and possibly protecting it. They're known to rust through from underneath over time.

I'm waiting for mine to show up from the factory (I'm north of you by about 5 hours). I am seriously looking into clear film for the door sill or some aluminum sill protectors. This is BS if this is a common issue.

And for all the "dirty truck" comments, this is just dirt on a floor mat get over it. It's a truck, not a Ferrari. If this amount of dirt gets you all upset, you might have a heart attack if you come to northern Alberta and see what we do to trucks here.

I still have to look into what film to get for the metal. I plan on some Xpel headlight covers, but the door stills really need something.

Due to our road salt I already sprayed my undercarriage with Fluid Film, and plan to do that at least once/year. Nothing lasts forever, but I'm hoping to make it last longer. You Canadian guys have Krown instead of Fluid Film, and from what I've read it's pretty well recommended.
