I've noticed threads about the 5.7 having a factory alarm, just wondered if it was the same for the 4.6. I haven't tried to activate it yet in my 2013 DC SR5.

doesnt matter what engine, if you have the keyless entry remote you probably have it, just need to turn it on in techstream.

Just got my alarm activated at the Toyota dealership today. For one price ($51.00), they hook up the Techstream and modify as many settings as I want.

I handed them a copy of how to activate the alarm (from TS) in case they didn't know how. Also had them change seat belt alarms, disabled the automatic door locking when driving past 12 mph, and few other things.

The alternative is order a special adapter online for $35, download the pirated version of Techstream, and then hope it works on my laptop. Let's not forget dicking with it for a couple hours too. Nope, $51.00 to have it done without any headaches is great!

I'm getting this done I think at the next oil change. I currently don't carry the fob though, I don't like carrying more than I need to. Guess I need to start if I get the alarm activated. We'll see.
