305/45/22 General grabber is a great street performance tire.

I have had them on my truck for a few weeks now and I like them. Today was the day I drove them in the rain and I was impressed with the traction. With traction control on, 70-80% throttle from a low roll on, no spin and set me back in the seat. I was totally surprised and liked it. :D My old tires would break loose with a touch of the throttle in the rain. Now I am sure if I punched it from a dead stop I would spin them, but it seems 70-80% throttle is the happy medium between smoking them and traction. Definitely happy with General's performance and ride quality so far.

BTW that's the same technique I used at the track the other week and pulled my best 2.05 60ft with them. It's hard not to just punch it, but a little throttle modulation seems to be the key to launching on street tires.

305/45/22.seem much softer than the pirellis i have on now but then again they're not 6 years old either.
do they flat spot?pirellis do it big time but goes away after a mile or two and have slow leaks to boot!

Not that I have noticed. My truck sits for a week or two at times. I only have the grabbers in the rear though.

mounted them a couple days ago.the ride is so much smoother than the pirelli scorpion assimetricos and they don't flat spot at night.
replaced the 305/40/22 pirellis with 305/45/22 on trd 10x22 so tire is about 1.8in taller. explains the smoother ride but the truck feels a bit more like a truck now in the way it responds and it feels after hitting bumps or turning.the grabbers do seem to hook up much much better though.the sidewall is much softer than the pirellis also.
happy so far.
