I've seen quite a bit of discussion on here around folks looking to retrofit some of the new 2018 LED headlamps into their 2017s. I know it is a long shot, but has anyone looked into the possibility of retrofitting a 2018 headlamp into one of the older Tundras (pre-2010)? Mine is a 2008 Limited and I still love the truck and would love to simply be able to buy a couple of headlamps, make some minor modifications, buy a couple of the harnesses that folks are building, and plug and play.

The only other option is to ship my headlamps off to LightWorkz and do a full HID projector mod...but that will cost $1,500 - $2,000 and I'm not sure I want to make that kind of investment on a truck that is approaching 150k miles.

Looks like you can do a new Sequoia retrofit

I believe the 2.5 and 2.75 Gen Tundra lights would require new fenders to fit.

I will say that that quote for a retrofit seems expensive also.

The Spyders are probably the cheapest solution if you want new lights, but sounds like they aren't the best quality lighting. :dunno:
