Hello guys,

I know this is a topic that has been brought up several times, but I cannot find an exact answer. I bought a 2014 Tundra with the "premium" JBL audio. I have never been that happy with the audio quality as there has always been a rattling noise coming from the door panels. The major problem is the one on the driver's side. I would just apply pressure with my hand and it would stop. Now, it is not the case it does not even stop. The speaker is good as it does not distortions the sound the problem is the rattling. I need to apply pressure in the lower door panel for the rattling not to be heard. Has anyone had any experiences on this particular issue? What did the dealer tell you? Did you fixed it by yourself? If you all can point me in the right direction I will greatly appreciate it! Any information helps.

Thanks,

Not sure if your issue is the same that I had, but on my 2014, 1794, the plastic door panel where my knee rests kept giving a popping noise when my knee would rest against it. Dealer ended up replacing the plastic piece and problem solved

I am having the same problem with the same truck. I have pulled off the door panel and tried to isolate the noise. Just like yours it stops when I push on the panel. It sounds like it is coming from the top by the tweeter. Please keep me posted on what you find out at the dealer.

Does it rattle while driving and no radio or just when the radio is on and music playing? Just throwing ideas out, but have you checked to see if maybe one of the metal rods behind the panel (1 for the actual door lock and the other for the door handle ) is vibrating/rattling from metal to metal contact?

I have a 14 CM and my metal plate on arm rest area of door, where the window and door lock control levers are located, would buzz/rattle when I played strong base songs. I would grab it and press down and the noise would stop. I had dealer pop this off and they lined it with some kind of felt tape or something, and then snapped the cover back on. It helped a bunch but occasionally makes noise still, but only if I'm cranking the tunes. Not sure if that is your same issue, but throwing it out there.

I have a 2015 1794 and it does the same thing. Mine is on and off and has not been bad enough to worry about taking it in but I am sure that it will get worse . :(
