I have a 2010 crew max. Today, I noticed that when I hit the auto window switch to lower my drivers window it would only go down 1/2 way. I had to hit the switch again to lower the window all the way. The next try, the window would go 3/4 of the way down. I could put pressure on the window with my hand and it would go down some. Tried it again after running errands and it seems to be working ok now ( going down all the way).
Anyone have an idea to the problem or experience this on their tundra?
Could it be the switch or the window motor?

It was in the 40s today. Truck and window channels are clean. It seemed like the window motor was weak. I've never had this happen before. I'm used to replacing door actuators.....just not window problems. Is there a relay for the window?
I've got 20,000 miles on the truck. Only drive it during the weekend. Kept under cover when I'm not driving it.

Call your dealership and have them run your VIN for a C0M recall. I don't remember the cut off date for year model but the C0M recall deals with the driver's side window switch.

They should have no problem looking that up for you, if I was at work I'd do it here but alas, it's Sunday!

I did an online search for the window switches. I found something about possible fires and a lack of grease. It worked fine this morning. Yesterday, it was messed up.
