I got some issues with my 08 tundra it started out in limp mode so I went an bought hweitt bypass for the air injection pump an it still never came out of limp mode so I purchased a new pcm still never came out of limp it was in limp for about a 2weeks then randomly came out of it every time hit a but it go into limp mode then come out of it again when it's out of limp mode it will run drive great for about half mile then the A/T oil temp light will flash on then truck will die but fire right back up but once in limp mode it won't ever die any ideas ? Thinking maybe wiring issue main time problems happen when I hit a bump

I have a 2007 5.7 at 154k all my warning lights for VSC and others, can't remember them now, came on basically stating my air injection pump and air pumps were not functioning. Because the warranty was up and the Dealer wanted 2.5k to 4k to repair. I bought the kit to by pass and installed it. I noticed it did not always function as designed. sometimes my vehicle still would flash the VSC and other code as before and go into limp mode. I would end up disconnecting the battery to lose the memory and reconnect battery. This only work a few times, end result I ordered the air injector valve and a new intake gasket and replaced the air injector valve myself. (2.5hrs). The Air pumps under the fender, passenger side, I removed them and tore them down to clean. One Air pump motor was full of water. I drilled a hole in the rubber boot the motor sat in and sprayed the motor with WD40. Using my hands I slowly broke the stuck motor free and had it turning again. I connected it to the battery a few time it ensure it would work on its own with jumper wires. There are a few youtube videos out there showing how to replace them. Take a lot of photos before you start the teardown to ensure you don't forget anything. The Air pump is a little bit noisy on first start ups ( the one that had locked up), but a minute later the turn off anyway. Air pumps cleaning and replacing back in took about 2 to 3 hours. Never had another issue after that. Current miles 225k, Hope this helps. Bobby
