I just started the truck this morning to head out to do some errands and the check engine light was on. I hooked up my code reader and got the DTC#P2442 Secondary Air Inspection System Switching Valve Stuck Open Back 2. Is this going to cost a fortune to fix? I read that there may be an extended warranty for AIP.

The warranty was extended to 10yr/150k on 2007 to 2010 models so you should be able to get a warranty repair. If that doesn't work out then installing a bypass kit will be cheaper than the repair.

Thanks for the information. Do you happen to know where I can get a copy of the TSB regarding the warranty extension? I am the second owner of the truck the previous owner provided all the service records and this was not previously repaired. I have an appointment at the local toyota dealer wednesday and want to have everything in order first
