Last year I replaced my transmission AND engine (trans went bad, engine had 150K and was tired; got really good deal on both). The new engine trans (from '10) had 50K miles. I had my shop replace the torque converter just for piece of mind.

Now @ 165K
Last month on a road trip it started throwing the dreaded 'P2757' trans code. NOTE the trans NEVER felt like it was slipping or shifted odd. WIth the exception of the code it seemed perfect.
Fearing the trans was shot I bought a '17 1794 but kept my 07 because it has the SC.

On a gamble I got a new SLU solenoid from Ebay for 135$.

About an hour later got the solenoid installed and fluid replaced (got a new storage tub the night before with a snap shut lid. It measured about 18"x40"x6"). Kept everything hospital room clean.

After test drive NO CODES!!!! I couldnt drive more than a few miles at +50mph without it throwing before.

Now I have a supercharged 07 with about 65K on the engine trans AND a new 1794!!!!

If anyone else has the p2757 it is WELL worth replacing the solenoid before replacing the trans.. Truthfully it wasnt much more difficult than doing an oil change.

Needless to say....I am off the f-ing charts happy the trans is OK.

He wanted 3K each or $4500 for both (and they were a matched set). I really didnt have any choice! Plus it gave me a spare 3urfe (running) that I can build. It didnt really cost much more for them to install both vs just one. It just made sense....

Going to sell with 07 once I get the SC removed, sent in for a rebuilt by mag, and the NA stuff transferred. The issue is that I couldnt sell it for S- if the trans was shot.

Truth is it will make a nice work truck for someone....It only has about 65K miles on everything except the body! Only the driver seat was ever sat in (except for a few occasions), the seats were always full of tools.
