07 Tundra Steering shakes over bumps

hey guys. I just got my tundra 07 with 125k miles and I'm really liking the truck. I've had a few titans before but had to get my hands on a tundra. I'm having a problem that maybe you guys can help me identify. Going over bumps makes the steering wheel shake like crazy and feel super loose. any ideas?

the truck is completely stock other than an add a leaf that was added in the rear by the previous owner. and it has michellins that are only a few months old

Jack up the front and try and shake the front tires. If they move side to side it might be time for some new tie rod ends.

I would have to agree, something is wrong up front. Check rod ends & suspension.

The first place to start IMO is to measure your toe. If that yields good results, I would suggest a good shop to inspect the entire suspension and steering system (unless you are capable).

i read a post that said it might be the steering shaft needing to be lubed, i think ill try that first since ive done the same kinda thing with my tahoe

Death wobble is on a solid axle and would need a new steering stabilizer or 2.

Might be shocks worn out or tie rod ends loose/worn. Shocks are what control the front end. Sounds like Coilovers are needed.

One of the sole contributors to death wobble is alignment.

Jack it up. If they shake up and down=ball joints. Side to side=tie rods.
