I would like to replace all the vacuum hoses on my 02 Tundra 3.4L V6 to black silicone while I replace the Valve Cover gaskets. The diameter and an idea 3-4 feet of hose material would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance for any help. Jp

Depends on which vac lines.

Just pull one of each size and see.

That doesn't tell me the diameter. Someone who has done work on a 2002 is what I'm looking for, not a 2010. I am trying to order the right size online, they don't carry it at autozone friend.

*edited as I am attempting to not be a smartass and help out.

I was just telling you the easiest way to find out what size you need. I mean, you have the truck right there. All you have to do is remove, measure, re-install and order.

It's not rocket science dude, it's a fuggin truck.

Most people do that.

I did that on my 87 GN, pulled all the different vac hoses off, got what I needed, then replaced them.

It isn't very likely that you will find someone in a timely fashion that has recently replaced all their vac hoses on a 2002.

I'm just surprised that they need changed. My 04 Tacoma with same engine, hoses are just fine.

If you are set on it, order up an All data account. It will give you every part number, cross reference at part store and get the hoses cheaper then dealer.

258k on motor, just did timing belt, pulleys, WP, Thermostat. I have heard a lot of good things about the silicone vacuum lines, I would rather fix at home than have one give out away from home.

I replaced all of my vacuum, heater, and radiator hoses with upgraded silicone (red) for my engine dress up project on my 4.7.

Not sure how many hoses you have on the V6, but, simple enough to take some estimates by size and length (always add a couple of extra inches and trim back during install. Better to have a little extra than to be a little short as we say.

The SVH comes in many colors, including glossy black. You can buy universal kits or hose by the foot. I used Hose Techniques. I am sure there are other vendors you can find out there as well. Cost may be a little higher than standard "box store auto parts", but, the quality is very good.

Just an option to consider. For reference, there is a pic of my engine bay in my TT garage here.

Thanks for the info, do you have a link to the site where you purchased your kit from. I've seen one on Amazon that gives arrange from 4 to 12 mm. Those upper/lower radiator hoses are pricey. Thanks again for info.

I gave you a link in my previous post. Just click the HoseTechniques title at the bottom of the post.

What vendor are you seeing on Amazon?
