  1. Rear end suspension help

    Tundra Suspension Talk
I'M HERE! Where to start. HA! Truck came with blocks from dealership, worked fine until I started tweaking. My truck has an HD canopy with windoors and an internal frame, 4 man roof top tent, awning, fridge and slide, recovery gear and a floor jack in the bed (factory jack wont lift the...
  2. Just got Ranch Hand's on both ends. Need help with suspension!

    Tundra Suspension Talk
Run the 613, don't worry about UCA's unless alignment is an issue. Not sure about your wheels, but do the body chop and trim where needed and your 35's should be good to go. Lift the back with Coachbuilder shackles and matching shocks.
  3. Need alternative suggestions to my Icon Stg6 suspension

    Tundra Suspension Talk
Once we dug into it a little more and played with truck and gear weight, it wasn't flattening per say, they just weren't holding the load we expected at Stage 3. Once unweighted a bit they were great, but I couldn't run my canopy, tent, fridge etc and work gear at the same time, and I was...
  4. MidTravel Overland REAR: AAL&Bags or custom leafpack

    Tundra Suspension Talk
And a picture of my shift handle for extra points. (cut up a Fox MTB shock and machined an insert to thread it on)
  5. MidTravel Overland REAR: AAL&Bags or custom leafpack

    Tundra Suspension Talk
No doubt, but I always get asked why I wanted the heavy springs so I feel the need to explain the weight. I should have better pictures today if I get more time. Been hectic with a few projects these days.
  6. MidTravel Overland REAR: AAL&Bags or custom leafpack

    Tundra Suspension Talk
Stayed away from airbags, ran the truck "light" while waiting for custom Deavers. Deavers arrived and installed, put the tent, fridge, etc back in the truck. SUCCESS! Rides like it should, carries everything without sagging, and still has the wheel travel I wanted. So the 16 Tundra CM is on...
  7. On the fence about my options

    Tundra Suspension Talk
Run coils. Spacers suck. You can run up to a 35 but without spacing your wheels out you're going to have to entertain the idea of a slight rub at turn, even with 33's. Depends on offset, width, and true tire size mounted. There is a member that did the body mount chop and he runs 35's with no...
  8. UCA Question

    Tundra Suspension Talk
I have TC UCA's and they can get ungodly noisy. But bear in mind this is Canada, and our weather is different than most, and our road "chemicals" can be worse than others too. I lube mine all the time when I wash the truck and it quiets them down for another 5000km. I'm going to swap out...
  9. Broken rear leaf spring

    Tundra Suspension Talk
I put the Icon RXT on Stage 3 in my 16 CM and they were done within 2500 miles (by the time we got to Moab we were using a borrowed skil saw to cut the drawer and shelf out of the bed of the truck and threw it in a dumpster to save weight and had to relocate a bunch of gear to the cab and roof...
  10. Fox Coil Over 2.5 w/ Reservoir issues

    Tundra Suspension Talk
I have the Fox 2.5 resis in my 16 and they have to be adjusted differently to level the front of the truck. It's a Tundra thing. We had to dial them out 3 times to get it right, then my Icon leaf pack [email protected] the bed. So when my Deavers FINALLY show up, we have to do ti all over again. S%^&#(...
  11. Need alternative suggestions to my Icon Stg6 suspension

    Tundra Suspension Talk
My 16 CM Plat has Fox 2.5 up front with TC Arms, rear King 2.5 adj/res currently with Icon RXT leafpack, 35's on 17's all the way around. It rides very well, and I took the sway bars out to get that "side mirror drag" when I go around corners fast. ;) Honestly, I'd play with the rear pack...
  12. Another Lift question.. Can I do this Custom 4" Lift????

    Tundra Suspension Talk
Why do you need a 4 inch lift for a 35" tire? 3" coil over will ride infinitely better, new leaf or blocks in the back I suppose, depending on your budget. Spend as much as you are comfortable with.
  13. Deaver K37 sag.

    Tundra Suspension Talk
I think the K37 issues are with people building overland loaded style trucks, and then the K37 doesn't hold up. Neither did my Icon RXT in Stage 3, they were flat within 2000 miles. think more along the lines of a constant 800-1000lbh load of gear and tent, canopies and spare tires, etc...
  14. TRD PRO front COs

    Tundra Suspension Talk
In Canada, the TRD Pro CO's from Toyota were more money than my Fox 2.5 Adjustables. YMMV. I think I remember they were almost the same price as King, which wasn't worth doing just to be "Toyota". Although I guess the new TRD Pro are Fox aren't they, so I don't know, I'd still shop around...
  15. Thinking through Suspension...

    Tundra Suspension Talk
I bolded my answers, in the quote, but whatever, you get it. Jeff Aswell
  16. Sway bar disconnects

    Tundra Suspension Talk
Something sounds odd about this. If you get "way more lean" driving that's your flex, independent of each side linked by the sway bar. Measuring it as 1/4" on a ramp doesn't make sense to me. I have flexed my 16 on an RTI ramp at a Jeep event and is was way more flexy without the sway bar...
  17. 3/1 lift, Vibration issue

    Tundra Suspension Talk
What tires? Some of the new knock off brands are bad for balancing. My first guess would be a re-balance.
  18. Zone Offroad Uca and wheels?

    Tundra Suspension Talk
Why would there be a relationship between the UCA and the wheels? Are you asking about tire sizes? UCA's typically don't effect tire fit. Lift and trimming do. Your wheel choice plays into that, but I don't understand how the UCA would?
  19. Will this setup clear 35's?

    Tundra Suspension Talk
Wasn't me with 37's, but I remember that thread too.
  20. Will this setup clear 35's?

    Tundra Suspension Talk
I'm running 315 Maxxis RAZR-MT, 35x13ish nominal on 17" wheels. Fox 2.5 3" CO up front and Icon-Fail RXT springs in the rear. We did a near perfect alignment after the rear end was done, and the front end adjusted to sit properly and handle properly. I had to do the BMC and cut the front...
