Looking to get away from 20”

I have 20” rims on my 2012 crewmax. I changed the suspension to the TRD Offroad to help soften the ride. Tires are Perelli Scorpion Verde A/S 275/55R20 and PSI is at 40. Load on these are [email protected] max. Ride is still somewhat harsh on particular bumps, RR tracks at 15 mph. Would changing to 18” with a taller tire be better? Or a different tire? Let me know your thoughts.

What load rating are the Perelli Scorpion Verde A/S's?

I'm not completely useless. I can always be used as a bad example.

Mine was a tad softer with the factory 18" TRD wheels and BFG's.

But before you go changing wheels you could try a 275/60r20. It is
still a standard load tire but 1" taller.

Ummmm... that doesn't sound right... Unless you are from the frozen arctic and are going by kilos instead of pounds.. What load index rating do they have? Should be a number - like 114, 116, 123, etc.

That is what I pulled from the tire. But I see what you mean by kilos. Load Index is 113. 2561lbs per tire from what I found on tirerack. Here is the link:

I have been looking in that size. Narrowed it down to 2 brands. The Kumho Crugen HT51 and the Michelin Defender LTX M/S. Both seem very similar as per reviews.

Good choices. I have first hand experience with Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza and I absolutely loved them,
I've also heard great things about the new Cooper Evolution H/T. However, you will never go
wrong
going with Michelin. The last set I owned lasted 80,000 miles.

Good Luck

before you spend a bunch of cash, you could try what I did.

60lb tube sand bag on each side all the way in the back of the bed behind the wheel well.

way more of an impact than tire changes.

if you want it softer, then add another to each side.they sit out of the way in the notch behind the wheel well.

but yes, I have long said, 20" don't belong on a truck. I have 18" wheels and the sand and the ride is better, not like my ram though, that rode WAY better.
