Anyone know if there will be an updated Toyo OC AT2?

Not sure how long they've been out, but I see that BFG has updated their all terrain tire and Nitto has also updated their terra grapplers. Just wondering if Toyo is gonna do anything to their AT2 anytime soon.

If demand has anything to say, I'd say probably not anytime soon... Toyo OC AT2 are pretty much on national backorder in specific sizes (hi 295/70r18). My discount tire dealer (and friend) called 8 places and found two sets of 2 tires at two completely different warehouses in different parts of the US. Demand is telling Toyo they have a winner-dont change the formula.

I've got 35X12.50R20LT AT2 Xtreme's on my Tundra.... awesome tires. Wear well, great all weather traction, and they are very quiet.

They've even amazed me off road. No chunking, splitting, or even side wall rash ... and I am in the desert and play both high speed and low speed in very rocky terrain.

The Toyo pretty much caused the others to change.

Nitto is a sister company to Toyo. The TG G2 was updated to more closely match the treadlife of the AT2.
And BFG is just trying to keep up.

All are top notch tires, and I wouldn't expect a change anytime soon.

I"m aware of that. Don't know exactly when the OC AT2 came out, but if I'm not mistaken, it was released long before the new BFG and the Nitto.

I believe they were available in mid to late 2012.

IMO ... The Toyo's are the best tires you can buy.

Wasn't the "Extreme" sizes the "update" on these? They have only been out for ~2 years if I remember right, then everyone else started following suit and re-doing tires.

I have the Toyo AT 2's on my 2015 Platinum CM. They are the Bomb..... No need to update the already updated 2's.
