Did you pay under MSRP for your Pro? How about for the Voodoo?

Hi,

Sorry, I didn't see a price thread in here. For folks who recently purchased a TRD Pro, did you get it for under msrp? How about the folks who went with the voodoo blue?

I'm in Austin, and I found an out of state dealer willing to do $4,300 off of msrp. It a little bogus because they have $900 in fees that they won't remove, so closer to $3,400 off.

Not sure that I will find a dealer willing to take off more than that...

Thx

I got mine for 49k something in voodoo blue. They wanted 54k, but it was a brutal fight. Watch some YouTube videos on how to do better on negotiating a deal. Good luck

Wow those are both great deals, did a few price requests and got a $500 off response. To be fair I didn’t push back too hard but I don’t think it was trending towards a few thousand off either. Trying to find a Pro around here is almost impossible, I was actually told that I would have to test drive a different model and then order a Pro. I told them they were crazy if they thought someone would order one that way, it’s not like it’s similar to other models, it’s a whole new suspension.

The trick is to find a dealership that your willing to go to to get it that is selling it for about invoice, our local one was 49k something, but ours was white too and I wanted blue, then find a high volume dealer and they are very competitive, they want the sale even if they arenít making much IF itís the last day or 2 of the month. (Last day of the quarter is better and probably last day of the year is even that much better) they will do damn near about anything to make a deal. And tell them your not paying for all that dealer markup garbage and they can go remove it if they want.

I'm in San Antonio and paid MSRP for my voodoo blue pro. Toyota of Boerne has one on their lot currently. Been there for a few weeks if you want to haggle with them, that's where I bought mine.

A place in Columbus GA wants $58k. I want one bad, but not that bad. So I'm going w a 2019 XSP plus leather and I'll add a Fox suspension, rims, and tires, skid plates, and everything else.

MSRP. VooDoo Blue RedMcComb in SA, TX.
San Marcos had an Oct one for $2k off that had sat for a few months and maybe some hidden fees?
I saw a bare one for $49k several states away (East coast of FL).
I used cars.com to see who had what.
Time, distance for a deal is the challenge. I saw one in my old home of S Fla-Weston, FL asking $5k over MSRP.

Ultimately I had been saving and eyeing a PRO for 5 years and I was gonna get the non-black/white color, pulled the trigger when I was ready and comfortable. This year was VooDoo blue, so I’m content.

There’s not too many FJ colors left, Forrest green next year, perhaps?

I bought my 2015 Inferno Pro at invoice in South Carolina. They had it listed with there other Tundra’s.
My wife wants a 4Runner Pro later this year so I’ll be looking soon.
I’m in Florida, but will drive or fly anywhere for the right deal.

My wife wasnít happy with the voodoo blue at all until she saw it in person, itís a pretty sweet color. I myself didnít want the white or black either. Good thing is, I found the white at invoice and it was a slow mover. I went to another dealership and said I saw that same truck for 49k, next thing you know that old famous question ďif I could get you this truck today for the same price as that other one, would you accept delivery of itĒ? Lol

So,......the PRO is basically a CM 5.7 4◊4 with the SR5 pkg?
What's custom about it are the wheels, plastic grille insert, seat covers, a skid plate and a set of Fox shock absorbers?
If all that stuff was in a pile on the garage floor, would it be worth $10,000?
Does the PRO come with different gearing? A special transfer case? Lockers? A supercharger?
Or is it just minor cosmetics and a set of shocks?
I've been meaning to ask and haven't gotten around to it. The PRO is so much more expensive and it seems like it's talked about as if it's a different animal. If it is a different animal and it's only $10k more than an SR5, that's a pretty good deal.
Not $58k though. That's $18k more.
