TRD PRO Seats

New PRO just hit market by me and I may be going for it but I noticed in the listing that it appears to not have front seat heaters. I guess my question is do the TRD PRO even have that option....?

I can't say for certain, but ironically, the Pros don't necessarily come with all the bells and whistles. Toyota saves creature comfort items for the Limited and Platinum equipped models. The more off-road oriented trucks are slightly more "stripped down". Utilitarian, if you will.

No heated seats on TRD's in GA (not sure about northern states / Canada). I've never needed it, truck warms up quick and heat blasts out quickly! Best heater of any truck I've ever owned (and I've had them all!).

New Tundras only have heated seats if they have dual zone AC/heat, like Limited, 1794, and Platinum.
The seat heater switches are built into the dual zone AC/heat control panel on the bottom of the panel.
Unlike the manual heat/AC panel of the SR5 that you have in your Pro.

Buy 2 of these and install them yourself.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I did mine in my leather SR5, it wasn't that hard..
I put my switches on my console.
Tapped into the 12v plug for power.
It has been working fine for me and the wife.

Here is a thread on switch locations..

Install video.

A pair of Hog Ring Pliers is very helpful.
I bought these with the rings.

I only put these seat heaters in for my wife.
But I've found I use them a lot more than I ever thought I would, even in Texas..

I had a local auto upholstery shop install my heated seats. Basically the same set up as 1lowlife. I think i paid $350 and took them 1/2 a day to get it done.

Toyota dropped the ball on no heated seats for the US TRD Pro IMO. The Canadian trucks come with heated seats. Reason I traded my Rock Warrior for a Platinum, love the heated/cooled seats.

Here is a Canadian Video showing heated seats 3.38 mins into the video

IF they had heated seats here on the pro, I would have bought a pro instead of a Plat most likely. That was my hold back. If I have leatherish seats, they need to be heated.

Can't believe they still don't offer that on the Pro especially when Canadian models get them. I added the Rostra heaters on my '17 Pro this past fall and they work great. The kit is relatively inexpensive (Amazon) but its a shit ton of work. Not hard just time consuming. I followed the same videos above.

Heated seats are sometimes needed in Kali, kind of wish they had that option.
