Fuel door spring

So I discovered that my fuel door no longer stays closed.

Took the fuel pocket out of the side of the bed and found the spring had rusted and disintegrated.

Can I purchase just the spring? Called my dealership and they didn't think I could.

Went to pep boys, autozone, and one other store without luck.

Anyone else ever run into this?

I highly doubt that you are going to be able to purchase just the spring. Any chance you can go to your local hardware store and find one that will work?

I'm not judging...I'm just sayin

I'd try a Lowes or Home Depot and see if they have something that will work.
They have several different springs in those specialty parts drawers..

Will this work?

There are some on eBay with a part number.
I would think you can buy them separately.
I'd try emailing or calling Roman at cool springs..

Yep, it's got to be the whole part. It's not too bad, though.
