Query/Advice - S/C with JBA shorty headers

My truck is equipped with shorty headers from JBA. I have been told that LT would give me extra HP. Since I have already invested in the shoty headers, I am looking for options that would save some $.

So I wonder if deleting the 4 catalytic converters along with the already installed shorty headers be equivalent to installing LT headers?

If yes, should I completely remove the catalytic converters and install new straight pipe instead? or Can I just make holes on the surface of the catalytic converters in order to remove the materials within and then get them welded?

Any thoughts/ Pros & Cons?

Thanks

If it was me either leave it as is or remove the shorty headers install LT's with one set of cats. You are not going to gain much from just taking the cats off.

2007 Tundra Crewmax, 5.7, 6112's second notch w/2CB shims, 5160's,+2 CB shackles, 295/70 Ridge Grapplers on 18x9 rims, Auburn Pro LSD, JLT LT w/custom Xpipe and Borla mufflers, BullyDog.

header hp gain with s/c is not all that much so keep what you have.wait until your cats go bad (if ever) before yanking them off as you won't gain much by removing them.
and no,removing your cats will not turn your shorties into full lengths.
