14-16 SR5 5.7 exhaust..best header+cat back combo

through searching, I haven't been able to find a very cut and dry answer regarding exhaust questions and I'm not sure there is one...However I'm looking for some Header/Cat back combinations people have used that maximize overall performance gains, but most importantly fuel efficiency. I'm not interested in mixing and matching a ton of mid pipes, mufflers and customizing things so if anyone can recommend a relatively simple setup w/ price not being so much an issue that would be awesome. So far I was thinking Dual side exhaust Flowmaster Outlaw, until I ran into some talk of losing low end. Does anyone know this system? I'm from PA too and not quite sure how emissions work w/ these trucks and headers and cat locations related to where O2 sensors are. I am coming from owning compact cars so I'm completely new to the truck world! Open to any and all ideas that would be straight forward purchases. (i.e. Gibson headers *either long or short, a cat-back system dual or single side exit and why possibly?)

So glad I found this forum! Thanks for any help

Every single person is gonna tell you to get a hold of Keith @dirtydeeds . The only way to go 100%. He knows tundras inside and out when it comes to performance with exhaust. He will make you whatever you want and will all be a bolt on kit. I've got his 8" system and I couldn't be happier great sound and performance.

@wyo700 ....you don't think he is partial to his own systems though? I was kind of looking for some unbiased advice. Not saying he doesn't offer the best products or anything, but I was just kinda hoping for systems to steer clear of that are known to rob power to tundras... In any case thanks for your feedback! This is all new to me with Toyota's and trucks in general.

I'd have to second wyo700 in contacting Keith. Yes he will talk to you about his system but it's because he truly believes in it, to be honest most if not all of us do to. He puts out a great product built to customer specs. I visited him in person and after speaking to him about what I was looking for, I ordered a TRD replacement system with a 14" muffler (x2 7" mufflers). His site advertises a 6" and 8" system but if you speak with him, he'll build something to fit exactly what you're looking for like he did with me. I've gone through a lot of exhaust systems in the past and the system Keith built for me is the best I've ever ran, I couldn't be happier. And performance wise, there is no loss in low end torque or power anywhere. If you want something good, contact Keith.

Yes he likes his own systems because he has proven them to work. When you talk with him just ask him every question you want he has tested everything. And really what does it matter he builds a great sounding system that everyone is looking for and is dyno proven to not lose any power but gain. And his prices are just as comparable as buying a well name brand. You will not talk to a single member on here that was unhappy with his product. And if he makes you something that you are not 100% satisfied with he will make it right for you.

That's why I custom build every system for the person, not the truck. I can make it sound just about however you want

I'm one not to join the Bandwagon on purpose, I just wanted the best. I actually had BA mufflers and later strayed off to try something else.. Those were made so cheap and thin so I went back for a even more custom BA muffler. I've installed a bunch of performance mods and this fits in nicely. IMO, If you want good try anything else, if you want the Best then BA is the way to go. Btw he also sells headers.. Good luck man...
