Maybe its just me then....I just wish the truck idle was louder. Maybe our trucks just don't get as loud at idle as others. It does sound pretty solid when you hit the gas pedal. I still think Im going to remove the two rear cats

I wonder what the loss of low end torque is. Anyone have access to a free dyno?

There is a little softball sized thing in the tailpipe immediately behind the muffler.

I don't care about the environment. Neither do you.

I assume the resonator being so small does not have much effect either way then?

I cut off my two rear cats, it made the truck sound so mean and dirty at idle. Everytime i started my truck when it was straight piped with the rear cats cut off, people turned around and was "like wtf was that?! It sounds mean af!" It had a terrible rasp though, so i installed two 12x5 BaMufflers, still sounds amazing and every one of my friends are jelly of my exhaust note. They have chebi 5.3's and ford 5.0's with the FM10's, they all want my mufflers now haha. I say cut the rear cats off, get a BaMuffler, and call it a day. All in all, it will cost you less than $400 to get all this done and installed.

Losing that much back pressure with straight pipe and cutting the rear cats off I would imagine you lose quite a bit of low end....

It is not as bad as you think. It's very minimal if any at all.
