2016 Tundra key

I have a 16 pro with seperate key fob and key.
Can I somehow upgrade and get a key with buttons built in like newer tundras?
I would prefer just to carry the key and no fob.
Thanks.

There's a few threads around about that. Basically yes, get a compatible key, have it cut, and then have it programmed by a dealer or do it yourself with Techstream.

Weird. The forum won't let me search. Anything I search for. It says no results found.

Hey there. I got the search to work. What did you search for to find the correct thread? I'm csnt seem to find what key is compatible that is built into one.
Thanks again.

I actually just did mine for the same reason. I bought 2 switch blade keys with the correct coding, had them cut and learned the fob and security myself with my Autel. My truck only came with 1 fob and 2 normal keys.

Flip keys seem nice. I am reading about them now.
Seems some people have used g code 4runner keys.

The 2019 Rav4 has a pretty sharp flip key. I may have to try getting one cut and programmed.

I turned off my Tapatalk signature so you never know where I'm posting from...

And it appears to be a "G" key. Theoretically, it should work.

Edit: However, it appears that the key blank is different.
