Swapping regular mirrors for towing mirrors

Hey Y’all, I have a 2012 4.6L V8 Base Double Cab 4x4 with regular mirrors that cane stock when I bought it from the dealership. It has heating to the mirrors via a switch located under the stereo console as well as power adjustment. I’m in the market to swap them for towing mirrors. I wanted to know if it’s possible to keep the heating and power adjustment when I do the swap and which make/model y’all think will do the best job.

I bought some used oem tow mirrors and the heat power adjustment works. The turn signals worked even though my oem mirrors had no turn signals.

That was on my tundra grade 2013

On my 2010 I installed aftermarket tow mirrors and kept the heat function, and they also added the built in turn signal and marker light function with just plug and play.

I don't remember, they weren't really branded to be honest.

They are just like the ones from Tony at 1a auto.

I swapped my old OEM tow mirrors for a set of standard OEM mirrors...OEM Toyota parts are best.

I swapped my oem mirrors with oem towing mirrors on my 2013. I kept the heating function and gained the turn signal and marker functions.

I ended up going with the Trail Ridge tow mirror replacements from 1AAuto.com . Set me back $255 with shipping and handling. Before I didn't have a turn indicator on either mirrors. After installation, I now have turn signals on both mirrors and still got to keep my power adjustment and heating. Have to say, I am very impressed with them. 100% plug and play.

Do your main mirrors vibrate at all? I put a set of tow mirrors from Amazon on my 2016 TRD and the both main mirrors shake (or vibrate) a bit when going down the road. I could have sent them back, but they sent me $50 back instead of replacing them.

They did vibrate at highway speeds, but I also run general grabbers in a 33x12.50, so those make a fair amount of vibration.

It wasn't bad, not bad enough for me to say I would have gone with oem tow mirrors.

That was on my 2010, my 2017 I just have stock platinum mirrors for now.

With that said, I would go with the aftermarket ones again, just don't want to give up the powerfold, bsm, and puddle lights when I don't tow often now.

I installed some amazon ones on my 2014 Limited. The only thing it didn’t have was the BSM function. So I installed my own LED’s and now I have BSM too. Heater , electric adjustable, turn signal and clearance lights all work plug and play
