Window question

What is name for that little strip that goes around door window? Mine is torn and whistles at speed. Might be the most annoying noise ever, itís too high a pitch to drown out . I was thinking of glueing it with weatherstrip adhesive. Has anyone tried repairing or replacing this strip?

Thanks

If the tear is accessible for application of weatherstrip adhesive, I would definitely try that before replacement. Use black (also comes in yellow) and let it dry completely before powering up the window. On the other hand, if you replace the weatherstrip, it will be like new again.

Which window are you needing it for? What year and cab size?

Let me know if I can help with anything!

It cost me $78 for all four windows but it is a bear to replace. The mirrors must come off and the door panels. But as stated, it looks and sounds like new.
