Revolver X4 Fit

I have a new Revolver X4 and it's sweet, but the "front bulkhead seal" gasket they send for the front of the bed is either 1/4" or 3/4".

Here's what I'm talking about -

https://bakindustries.com/bak-front-...al-replacement
https://bakindustries.com/revolver-x...al-replacement

I installed 3/4", there is a noticeable hump where it sits as it's too big for a Tundra, I've seen online how this would work well for other makes of trucks. I'll try to post a picture to explain.

So I removed and installed the 1/4", and there was gap between the side brackets and the seal. So I doubled up the 1/4" just under the side rails and installed but then I had a gap between the cover and the bulkhead because I didn't double it up all the way across.

I was worrying about not having a good seal there and getting dust, so I removed, and re-installed the 3/4" and now I'm back to having a hump. I called BAK and they said 1/4 or 3/4 is all they have, they did send me a new 3/4" one however, and that is what they recommended using.

Anyways, I'm sure this applies to the Revolver X2 as well and there are alot of those out there, so has anyone had this issue and come up with a solution? I suppose I can just get two of the 1/4" gaskets and double them up all the way across the bulkhead but I was hoping someone might have found a good 5/8" gasket or something like that.

Have a pic of the bump you're referring to with the 3/4"?

I would call BAK again and tell them you want 2 of the 1/4" seals. They are good guys.

Thanks

BAK is sending me a special 1/2" gasket, I'll post my results. They are great to work with.

Did Bak take care of you? How’s the X4 holding up? Any update is welcome.

Did you receive it? If so, is there a part number on the package? I have the same issue with mine. I contacted them last week about sending me a 1/2" gasket, referencing this thread, and was told they don't offer one.

Well the gasket never came. I gave it 3 weeks or so, then called and they had no record of the order, and the guy had no idea about a 1/2" gasket, said they didn't carry such a thing. So, he said he'd send me two 1/4" gaskets, and a 3/4" gasket in case that did not work, but it's been a couple weeks now for this as well so I am thinking this package may never arrive either...

That sucks. I broke one of the buckles that secure it when rolled up and asked about the seal when I contacted them. They said the seal doesn't exist, but they sent a set of buckles next day air.

This is the real world feedback I was looking for that keeps me from clicking checkout. I want to pull the trigger on this cover given it fits my requirements but what has continuously stopped me is their apparent lackluster support.

Such a shame.

I don't know I think their support has been good. They did send me one other part before all this and it shipped immediately and for free, and they did not charge for these gaskets.
I am just going to chalk it up as a mixup and get back in touch with them and I'm sure it will all work out. I can't say how it would go if you had serious problems - you may want to research that - but so far for me I think they've been pretty good maybe just some issues in the order fulfillment dept?

The cover itself - I really like. I spent a long time deciding on which cover and am happy with it, it's a pretty cool design.
