Who told you this? The same person who told you size doesn't matter? hahahah sorry I had to. But your statement is correct. What I find a little odd is why did they not integrate the antenna into the navigation antenna on the roof or why didn't they do a slim shark fin on the roof like the Tacoma but smaller?

I do live in Los Angeles, but I do know of some spots where AM gets a little crappy, but not with this antenna. So overall I am very happy with it.

I am not associated with this brand or amazon account, but here is the link to the antenna. Priced at $19.95 w/prime at the time of my purchase.

h6 3/4" ANTENNA MAST - FITS : TOYOTA TUNDRA 2007 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 15 2016 2017 2018

The antenna comes with the proper stud for the years stated. It has a lot of flex to help with getting knocked around at all. I was afraid it was going to be stiff and brittle. I dont think this will have any issues going through any types of car washes. Pics can be seen on the amazon page.

Just want to thank you for this. Got my truck almost 2 weeks ago and this is the first thing I bought. Works really well in Houston and I live in the 610 loop. Fits perfectly on a 2018 CM. I park in a parking garage that has a clearance of 6í2Ē and my antenna was hitting every hanging sign. Not anymore!!
