2017 Crewmax with Undercover Elite LX installed.

Been pining for a tonneau cover since December when I bought my new 17 Crewmax. Had a pretty good idea I was going to go with Undercover Flex Ultra or the Elite LX (paint matched).

Pulled the trigger last week knowing I'd be near Rogersville, MO where they are made the week of Labor Day Weekend. Price was $1299 + tax.

Picked it up this morning and am really happy with the fit and finish. They installed it in about 35 minutes or so. Paint is beautiful and the finish and small details are quite nice. There's a lanyard mounted inside if you wanna reach something up in the bed and an LED thats removable/magnetic/ and hangable. I already have oem LED bedlights but another light never hurts

Have not tested this for "waterproofness" yet but the seals are quite thick and look like they'll do a great job. Will report more as I get a chance to drive and use it.

Follow up: Took the truck to the car wash for the first time since I had the cover installed. Went out of my way to spray the power washer up under the lip all the way around. When finished I opened it up and there was one or two drops of water near the tailgate on passenger side. Otherwise bone dry.

I'd say any gear would be completely sheltered from a normal rainstorm or weather or any kind.

One other thing to note. The locking mechanism/turn knob got real stiff after about a week of use. So I wiped the mechanism down with some teflon lubricant and it became super smooth and easy. Something to keep in mind when theyre new, the lock/knob is not well lubricated.

Actually... Funny you mention it. A month or so after i bought my 2017 (last December) my wife was laid off. So I was fitting all our bills up until a month or so ago when she went back to work. Hence opening up funds to spend on my truck

Awesome man, glad she found new work. I've gone thru a layoff and it sure sucks.
