Where to buy Vinyl wrap

After plastidipping my grill shell.... the wife loved it... Some how she gave me the green light to order vinyl wrap for the chrome bumpers without me asking!!!!!

I have a 2013. After measuring it looks like i need 2ft by 9 ft for the front and a little less for the rear. Looks like a sheet of 5x10 will do well for me. That being said, anywhere know of a good place to buy it?

Another member sent me this when I was looking at it. I've not gotten around to ordering any yet because of the weather.

MetroRestyling also.

I sell it, as I used to vinyl wrap as a profession, but I don't purchase the quantity that they do so they'll be able to get you a better deal after shipping etc.

Which one do you think will match the white of a tundra

@Onthelake

From my standpoint, you will never get a true match. But the G10 White Vinyl is my best recommendation.

If you PM me your address, I should have a sample of it somewhere in my old 3M 1080 books. I'll send it to you via snail mail so you don't have to send a buck + shipping to metro restyling.

EDIT: Actually had the sample in my truck. Now have it on my desk at work so just let me know if you want me to send it to you. I don't do this for a living anymore, so I can always just get another sample for myself once I go to my distributor again.

PM sent! Thanks! I was thinking of the 3m too. Will it hold up ok? It doesn't have to be a 100% match. Im still not 100% convinced on this vs plasti dip. Im a pretty savvy DIY guy, after watching videos it doesn't look to challenging to wrap this particular bumper

Here are my tips for the new wrapper.

Clean the area you're wrapping with 70% Rubbing alcohol before you lay vinyl down.

Make sure the area is CLEAN otherwise, it'll be peeling off due to crud under it.

Vinyl wrap is MUCH nicer in my opinion then plasti dip. I prefer it in terms of longevity and more.

1080 is normally rated for about 7 years I believe it is. It should hold up VERY well. I still have some cars I've done full color changes on over 3-4 years ago and running strong.

Your biggest enemy will be - DIRT. Proper prep = proper wrap.

Also @Onthelake -

The piece I'm sending you is very small as it is out of my sample book (4" wide x 2 1/4" tall), but it is still a usable piece of vinyl. Please feel free to take it off the backing and play around with it a bit. Heat shrinks it, but also gives it flexibility. So wrapping around corners, hit with some heat. If you over stretch it after it cools, hit the stretched part with some heat again. Play around with it on a clean piece of metal and see what you can do.

When you're done wrapping your pieces, go over the final product with the heat gun again, it will show the little bubbles that you may have not pressed down 100%. Normally you can finger tap these out and the air will follow the channels on the bottom side of the material and find a exit.

Send me a PM with your address too... I should have some silver metallic samples I can send. I can't guarantee that it'll match. The silver metallic from 3M is VERY silver, and can't off hand say what exactly as the only tundra I ever seem to see is either black, or my own timberland mica.

I'll post a pic up shortly of the Avery-Dennison Silver Metallic, I don't have any 3M off hand I noticed. I think the Avery might be more what you guys are looking for though.
