Flipping the deck rails????

Hi all,

I was chatting with a Bakflip rep last night and he said that if you flip the rails over, then you can leave the cleats on with the cover too. The cleats will only lose some adjustability as they can only be moved between the mounting hardware for the cover. Anybody heard of this? Doesn't sound right. A quick glance at my rail system doesn't look like I'd gain much room (if any) for the cleats by flipping turning the rails over.
Also, did anybody consider the Undercover Flex, or Flex Ultra?

Thanks.

Never heard of that. Flex and Ultra Flex will not work wit the factory cleats as they hit on the bottom of the cover. Whay not just use the kit that BAK sends to lower the deck rails so you have full adjustability?

Thanks
Josh

Hi Josh,

I will have to look at pics of that mod again. Last time I saw it it looked kind of hokey to me. Plus, it doesn't seem as sturdy hanging on three brackets instead of mounted up against the bed. Would it work with a bedliner, or does the bedliner come in too far to where the rail would be dropped down using the Bak kit?

Thanks,
Greg

They have been doing it for years. Never had anyone complain of the rail system not being sturdy or not working with a bedliner.

Thanks
Josh

Josh, I purchased a MX4 from you. Is there a option for a rack system with it.

Thanks, David

Ok, so what is your price for it, '14 Tundra CM with deckrail system, and how long is the price good for? Is SVCustoms an authorized retailer so the warranty is in force?
