Man you have your hands full! Hopefully they pay you per hour and not piecework (unless the piecework rate is superb).

Not to cause an issue but on another Tundra website they have these individuals complaining about the sludge and they state they change the oil regularly. Personally I don't believe that. Like you when I was younger my Dad and also General Motors School taught me the same thing you are stating that sludge is caused by lack of maintenance.

Look for date: 05/18/2010 and go from there. Read what Charlene Blake has to state about the sludge. She puts it in a post where the thread is about the rusty frames.

When did the owner state the problem happening? I'm sure he wouldn't say it was during towing, just curious how. Is he beating the engine to death up inclines?

500 hp + 6" lift + big tires + trailer = very hot oil and thus a bunch of sheered down 0W20. You may also want to sample the trans fluid, too.

He stated that the issue started while TOWING to Payson, Az..... PAyson is in the mountians of Az, so yes I think with the trailer LOADED with toys he is pushing the limits OR exceeding the limits of the towing capacity of the truck. I dont know how big the trailer is but I'm guessing between 28-35'. I was actually surprised to hear that he stated it happened while towing also. I will post pics as i get it apart.

It is the maroon/red or whatever Toyota calls that color, for whatever thats worth.

And we dont know what kind of oil he is using (syn or cenventional) because he never changed the oil here.

Honest question here. Is the supercharger really meant to be on these trucks and then continue to tow the weights the truck is designed for. Normally superchargers are for performance/sport application, not really intended for the loads and stress one would encounter during an extended heavy weight towing trip. I mean its not a turbo diesel. Are there any recommendations on drivability with the supercharger?
