How to reset mpg

Hey guys, I just up graded from a 2015 dc 2wd to a 2018 cm 4wd. I am very knowledgeable on tundras since this is my 4th tundra since 2012, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to reset my mpg after I refuel. According to the book it says to hit the button in the middle of the arrows with the dot, but that is not working lol.

Any one have any suggestions? Thanks in advance

I can understand it if it resets by its self after a fuel up, but shouldn't I be able to reset it at any given time?

Didnít work in the 18 loaner I had when my new-to-me 14 was getting detailed. Maybe its the newest feature they removed, like the pull out cup holders, extra glove box storage, drive oh shit handle, etc.

The "DISP" (Display) button changes the "multi-information" display screen. If you want to "zero" the average mileage display, you press and hold the "DISP" button (not the center button). The "multi-information" display screen must be displaying average mileage when you press and hold.

Yes, that is based on my 2017...I haven't any personal experience with 2018.

That would be really strange, not to mention irrational, for an car company to change a feature that has preexisted for four years into a five year cycle...and then have the changed feature not WORK!? WTH?

From 2018 Manual:

Resetting procedures:
• Select a function to be reset using the meter control switch and then press and hold the center button to reset.
• If there is more than one function that can be reset, check boxes will be displayed next to the functions.

The button is on the right side of the steering wheel in the center of the 4 directional arrows.

See page 101 and 102 of the online manual:
