Tire pressure is good, filled at same gas station as usual. Can it be the oil viscosity. I verified with the service adviser that they would use 0w-20 synthetic and it was on 10K change schedule. The service report doesn't show they had to scan or update the computer. Am I missing something?
This reminds me of @BOBONTUESDAY when he was missing something, ill tell you the same thing i told him, the first place you need to look is the last place your gonna look. Whatever your looking for will be there.

You ask "Am i missing something?" Only you, grasshopper, can answer that. One must first know what they seek before they begin their search.

And I did find them in the bed of the truck months later lol. My mpgs are always around 10 to 11.5. You're doing better than me.

The two dealers (different owners and on different sides of town) that I take our vehicles to for oil changes both use pennzoil branded synthetic for oil changes. Maybe it's a regional supplier thing.

I have NEVER noticed and increase or decrease in MPG in the tundra. Synthetic or conventional oil. Unless me they put 50w in your truck :-)

Maybe it's the summer blend crap. After about 3 days of driving (100 miles) it leveled out to 15 mpg. Thanks for the inputs.

You may have missed it. There's no logic allowed in this thread.

Mine went down after the dealer did the first oil change, but they overfilled it a bit. I took a little bit out via the oil filter plug. The plastic threaded drain thing with a hose attached that my dad cobbled together made it mess-free. It seems to have helped as I had to be ginger with it to keep it over 13 mpg before. Now it's staying above 14 without effort just like it used to.

Nah, the thing that made me mad was that the filter cap had zero evidence of ever having been touched. Shiny new with zero oil residue anywhere. Either someone was really skilled or really lazy. Plus I got to grease the driveshafts... I wiped the paint off the zerks first so I know they didn't do it. Six full pumps each of displacing air before even starting to purge the caps.

Potlickers.

I'll be changing my own oil at 3k since I'm almost there and it's nearly diesel black.
